Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day store activities, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement action plans to improve store performance.
  • Provide clear job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
  • Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Ensure adherence to company values and promote teamwork among employees.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Participate in the interviewing process for hiring store personnel.
  • Maintain inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
  • Ensure resolution of customer concerns and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist in maintaining proper stock levels through product ordering.
  • Supervise daily operations, escalating issues as needed and ensuring high-quality customer service.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Strong ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Experience in retail and prior management experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate store equipment and handle general cleaning duties.
