Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day store activities, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement action plans to improve store performance.
- Provide clear job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
- Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Ensure adherence to company values and promote teamwork among employees.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Participate in the interviewing process for hiring store personnel.
- Maintain inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
- Ensure resolution of customer concerns and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Assist in maintaining proper stock levels through product ordering.
- Supervise daily operations, escalating issues as needed and ensuring high-quality customer service.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- Strong ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Experience in retail and prior management experience preferred.
- Ability to operate store equipment and handle general cleaning duties.
