Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction costs on a national level, collaborating with divisional real estate teams to evaluate construction bids. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction documents and hold an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your objective will be to ensure that construction costs align with project scope and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Construction Managers to develop negotiation points with contractors.
• Work with the divisional Director of Real Estate and Construction Manager to determine appropriate project scopes.
• Provide divisions with current pricing data for consistent pricing structures.
• Analyze bids in detail and provide reports to aid project award decisions.
• Prepare quarterly reports for pricing data tracking.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities during document and proposal reviews.
• Research alternative materials and methods for economical construction practices.
• Train and develop team members for professional growth.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.

Physical Requirements

• Work may be performed in an office or remote setting.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand, and move.
• Occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Travel

• Domestic travel up to 10% required.
