Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Communications and Engagement to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network. As the Director of Communications and Engagement for UVMHN Alice Hyde Medical Center and UVMHN Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic communications initiatives to align with organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Shared Service across both hospitals, integrating day-to-day operations with strategic planning.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to support a range of communication needs including media relations, executive communication, and engagement strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders including local business and community leaders.
- Champion a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and communities served.
Requirements
- BA in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in communication and engagement leadership roles.
- Proven track record of collaborative leadership and relationship building.
- Expertise in multi-channel communication, crisis management, and storytelling.
- Proficient in utilizing digital tools for remote communication such as Zoom and webinars.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
