Float Staff Nurse

Job Description

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a dedicated Float Staff Nurse to join our multidisciplinary care team. As a staff nurse, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to a complex patient population, including assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering treatments, and educating patients and families. You will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate care in line with the Institute's mission, vision, and core values. This position is based both at our Boston Longwood Medical Area site and our Chestnut Hill expansion site, offering a dynamic work environment with no weekend, evening, or holiday requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care with expertise and compassion.
• Assess patient needs and develop comprehensive care plans.
• Administer treatments and medications safely and efficiently.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment options.
• Maintain compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience.
• Professional nursing certification a plus.
• BLS certification required.
