Float Staff Nurse (no weekends/no holidays)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Float Staff Nurse to join our team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This position involves providing expert and compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering treatments, and providing education and support to patients and their families. The role requires critical thinking, clinical expertise, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients and families.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and perform procedures safely and efficiently.
• Educate patients and families on treatment modalities and disease management.
• Maintain patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Contribute to unit, divisional, and institute-wide goals and initiatives.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and support research activities.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience.
• Ambulatory and/or oncology experience is a plus.
• Professional nursing certification preferred.
• BLS certification required, ACLS accepted.
