Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join the Aldi team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting store management by supervising day-to-day activities, optimizing store performance, managing schedules, and fostering team development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing action plans to enhance operational results.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members for optimal outcomes.
- Identify training opportunities to boost team performance and effectiveness.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and suggest necessary adjustments to uphold the company's standing.
- Participate in the store personnel selection process.
- Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization standards in the store.
- Supervise daily operations, escalating issues as needed for resolution.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and security measures.
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Prior retail experience required, with management experience preferred.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience.
- Combination of education and experience providing similar knowledge.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
