Job Description

We are looking for a Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training on all aspects of running a store effectively to prepare you for managing your own store in the future. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staffing needs, creating operational plans, and mentoring and developing the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day store activities to deliver top-notch customer service.
  • Communicate and reinforce the core company values to foster teamwork among employees.
  • Handle customer queries and ensure prompt resolutions.
  • Maintain store signage and product quality.
  • Participate in recruitment processes and conduct interviews.
  • Manage weekly schedules and staffing levels effectively.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports to ensure performance excellence.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend advancements or terminations.
  • Monitor store payroll and budget.
  • Oversee product merchandising and inventory management.

Job Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying company policies.
  • Experience in cash handling and equipment operation.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Compliance with state and local requirements for beverage sales.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience.
  • Prior management experience is a plus.
