Job Description

ArcBest II ABF Freight is seeking self-motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Checker/Drivers. As a Checker/Driver, you will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of cargo within close proximity to the consolidation/distribution center. Our City Drivers play a crucial role in maintaining strong customer relationships through efficient and effective transportation services. Job Responsibilities

• Perform pickups and deliveries of cargo to designated locations.
• Utilize up-to-date technology for loading and unloading trailers.
• Follow established techniques and procedures for handling cargo.
• Adapt to varying duties and schedules based on terminal location.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
• At least 1 year of tractor/trailer experience preferred.
• Hold a Class A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and HAZMAT endorsements.
• Demonstrate a stable work record and strong work ethic.
• Maintain a safe driving record with previous employment references.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and medical requirements.
