Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Homewood Suites Glen Allen. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the physical structure of our hotel, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests. From minor repairs to equipment maintenance, your work will directly contribute to the overall appearance and functionality of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor and routine maintenance activities such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and handle heating and cooling equipment.
• Maintain records on equipment maintenance and repair, ensuring all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, common areas, and equipment to ensure high-quality standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures, ensuring the safe operation of all equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification required; technical school or formal skills training preferred.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field with strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Valid driver's license and ability to understand and work with financial data.
• Physical ability to stand for long hours, lift objects, and perform various maintenance tasks.
