Job Description
We are hiring a Microbiology Supervisor to join the team at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. This position offers a day shift schedule and the opportunity to lead a dedicated team in the microbiology department. As a Microbiology Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective operations, mentoring technical personnel, and maintaining compliance with accrediting agencies.
Responsibilities
- Enforce sectional and departmental policies and procedures.
- Monitor supply purchases, work hours, and adjust personnel scheduling.
- Act as a resource for technical personnel, provide training, and evaluate competency.
- Lead problem-solving efforts and maintain policy and procedure manuals.
- Evaluate and develop the technical performance of team members.
- Build relationships with employees, support their goals, and address departmental issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- MT/MLT certification from ASCP required.
- 5-7 years of MT/MLS experience in a hospital lab setting.
