Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join Aveanna Healthcare, one of the nation's largest homecare providers specializing in pediatrics. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering skilled nursing care, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with care plans and physician orders. This position offers a flexible schedule, manageable 1:1 caseloads, and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and document skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Continuously assess patient condition, report changes, and coordinate quality patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, self-care techniques, and preventive strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, and accrediting bodies.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and nursing care compliance.

Preferences

  • Six months of recent clinical care experience as a Licensed Nurse.
  • Home health experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and reposition patients.
