We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, focusing on pediatric care. This position offers competitive weekly pay and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
- Observe and assess patient conditions, reporting changes as needed.
- Document all activities, assessments, and nursing actions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in the development and updating of nursing care plans.
- Take appropriate nursing actions based on assessments to achieve expected outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education on disease processes, self-care techniques, and preventive strategies.
- Maintain competencies through educational programs and skill evaluations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse.
- Current CPR certification.
- Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care policies.
- Additional state-specific requirements may apply.
Preferences
- Six months of recent clinical care experience as a Licensed Nurse.
- Home health experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Ability to travel and lift up to 50 pounds.

- Good visual, auditory, olfactory, and tactile senses.

- Ability to work in various environments with exposure to allergens and infectious conditions.
- Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
