Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Family Medicine Center at The University of Vermont Health Network. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for triage intake, patient processing, education, management of telephone calls, and ensuring follow-up of patient care. This position requires AHA-BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform triage intake and patient processing efficiently.
- Educate patients on medical procedures and post-care instructions.
- Manage telephone calls and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Review and follow up on lab/test results to ensure proper patient care.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
- Prior ambulatory clinic experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical/pre-placement screening requirements.
- AHA-BLS certification (required within 6 months of hire).
- Experience in triage is essential.
