Job Description
The University of Vermont Health Network is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As an integral part of our perioperative services, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients throughout their surgical/invasive procedures. This role requires a focus on patient safety, effective pain management, and continuous patient/family education.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care using the nursing process.
- Coordinate perioperative care before, during, and after procedures.
- Specialize in two of the three areas: Operating Room Circulating, Pre/Post Care, or Endoscopy.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
- Minimum two years med/surg nursing experience.
- ACLS certification; PALS within 12 months.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to new skills.
