Registered Nurse - Per Diem - Emergency Department

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team on a per diem basis in the Emergency Department at The University of Vermont Health Network. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient care by using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in the Emergency Room using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with staff, patients, and management for effective healthcare delivery.
• Handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS.
• Must be able to pass Critical Care exam within one month of employment or hold a current CEN certificate.
• Past experience in the Emergency Department is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Able to collaborate with other health personnel effectively.
