Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatrics to join our team at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position offers a competitive salary in the range of $32-58 per hour.

Overview

As part of our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant Unit on the 11th floor of Levine Children's Hospital, you will be providing high-quality care to pediatric patients, including young adults under pediatric specialty care. Our program is innovative, offering unique services such as phase 1 trials and MIBG therapy.

Job Summary

In this role, you will be directly involved in patient care, assisting with daily operations, coordination of patient care and outcomes, staff management, performance improvement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Clinical competency is essential to serve the high acuity patients at our flagship children's hospital.

Essential Functions

  • Enhance nursing practice effectiveness
  • Supervise and support nursing personnel
  • Ensure communication and compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Engage in patient, employee, and physician rounding
  • Delegate care appropriately
  • Manage patient flow and staffing

Physical Requirements

This position requires physical activities such as walking, lifting, and critical thinking skills. Candidates should be able to handle patient care and medical equipment, as well as communicate effectively in English.

Education, Experience, and Certifications

The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, hold a current RN licensure, preferably with over two years of nursing experience, and a BSN. Previous management experience is preferred, and professional certification is required within one year of eligibility.
