Staff Nurse II/III

Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a Staff Nurse II/III to join our Addiction Treatment Center (ATC) team at UVM Medical Center. In this role, you will provide advanced professional nursing care to patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will assess patient vitals, coordinate care with pharmacies, administer point-of-care testing, and provide patient education.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient vitals and withdrawal symptoms.
• Coordinate with toxicology labs and pharmacies.
• Administer point-of-care testing and track toxicology results.
• Provide patient education and triage patient calls.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or enrolled in Bachelor’s program.
• Three years of relevant RN experience.
• Experience in substance use disorders is preferred.
