Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store is well-organized, stocked, and provides exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Weekly Hours: 32-40 hours
• Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Monitor inventory accuracy and participate in store inventory counts
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Follow company policies while ensuring document security and confidentiality
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient cash register operation skills
• Safe operation of store equipment
• Capability to maintain store cleanliness to company standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Capacity to work independently and in a team setting
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail experience preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
