Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are hiring a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by providing exceptional service and collaborating with the ALDI team.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
• Participate in store inventory counts following guidelines
• Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register
• Safely operate equipment and maintain cleanliness standards
• Excellent communication skills
• Capability to work independently and in a team environment
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
• Meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages
• Prior retail experience preferred

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous work experience in a retail setting is a plus
• A combination of education and relevant experience
