Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a valuable team member, you will be responsible for various in-store operations including merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
  • Process customer purchases, maintain product displays, and ensure shelves are stocked neatly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with management.
  • Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management.
  • Participate in store inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the security and confidentiality of information.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Efficient cash register operation abilities.
  • Safe equipment operation skills.
  • Ability to follow cleaning standards and company policies.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
  • Compliance with state and local regulations for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous retail experience is a plus.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
