Job Description
We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including merchandising, cashiering, cleaning, and providing exceptional customer service. By working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with store management
- Give feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to management
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies to minimize losses
- Follow company policies and procedures while maintaining document security
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficiently operate a cash register
- Safely operate equipment like hand jacks, floor scrubbers, etc.
- Follow cleaning standards and company policies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Work well independently and in a team
- Demonstrate attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities
- Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience is a plus
