Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store's operations run smoothly and that customers have a positive shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store.

Position Type

Full-Time - 32-40 hours per week

Compensation

Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Conduct inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Follow company policies and procedures while ensuring security and confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register
• Knowledge of equipment operation
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail experience preferred
