Job Description
We are looking for a Customer Service and Stock Specialist to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment to provide exceptional customer service. You will collaborate with the ALDI team to enhance the shopping experience for our customers.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and neatly stock shelves and displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Communicate effectively with team members and the store management team
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
- Participate in inventory management according to guidelines
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures for loss prevention
- Follow company policies while ensuring the security of documents and data
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment
- Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards
- Interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work independently and in a team setting
- Stay organized, detail-oriented, and follow instructions efficiently
- Meet local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail work experience is advantageous
- Equivalent knowledge from a blend of education and experience
