Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatrics

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Care Team Nurse to be the clinical leader of our team at Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc. As a Care Team Nurse, you will work closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure the seamless operation of patient care, provide essential education to patients and families, and offer direct care services. This role involves managing high-risk and chronically ill patients, handling triage both in person and over the phone, maintaining accurate medical records, administering medications and vaccines, and facilitating communication among various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in infection control measures and pediatric care techniques.
• Assess the holistic needs of patients and families, making appropriate referrals as necessary.
• Provide urgent care services and handle triage efficiently and promptly.
• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records.
• Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
• Perform medical procedures like administering injections, conducting blood work, and catheterization.
• Coordinate post-hospitalization care and follow-ups to ensure patient well-being.
• Engage in continuous education and training in pediatric care.
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and high-quality care.
• Demonstrate physical capability to meet the demands of the role.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a care team.
• Sound knowledge of EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and email.
• Compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical information.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
• Valid Basic Life Support certification.
• Continuing education to meet licensure requirements.
• Adherence to American Nursing Association Standards of Practice.
