Senior Mortgage Lender

Are you an experienced Mortgage Lender looking for a new opportunity? Civista Bank is seeking a Senior Mortgage Lender to join our team. In this role, you will originate first mortgage loans, promote our lending services, and actively engage with referral partners and community organizations to meet the financial needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to solicit first mortgage and home equity loans through referral partners and community activities.
• Complete loan applications and pre-processing functions according to bank policies and underwriting guidelines.
• Inform clients of underwriting guidelines and government regulations.
• Screen loan requests and propose various options to clients.
• Stay informed about new legislation affecting residential lending policies.
• Communicate loan approvals or denials effectively.
• Participate in special credit programs and community activities.

Requirements

• Five or more years of Mortgage Lending experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance preferred.
• Knowledge of banking industry practices, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Strong computer literacy and data entry skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
